Coaches' Corner

~ Where Collaboration Begins ~

Collaboration with Chelmsford High School Coaches is critical to the success of the CHSASBC’s mission. We encourage coaches to attend a monthly meeting(s) prior to the start of their season to communicate how we might best support them throughout the season (e.g., fundraising, senior banners, etc.). The Booster Club also strongly recommends that coaches appoint a team parent or student athlete representative that can work directly with our Sports Liaison while in season so that coaches can remain focused on preparing their athletes for competition.

At the start of each academic year, coaches will be made aware of their Team Account Balance from our Sports Liaison. Please use the links below to learn how to generate funds for your team by collaborating with the Booster Club, and how to request those funds for your team’s use.

Why Fundraise Through CHSASBC?

There are a number of benefits to fundraising through the Chelmsford High School All Sports Booster Club.

  • The CHSASBC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so any donations made to your team through us are tax deductible to the donor.

  • Coaches are freed from managing cash and/or check deposits, from commingling personal and team accounts, and from disbursing funds to service providers.

  • As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization the CHSASBC is exempt from sales tax on purchases, leaving more money in a team’s account to be used directly toward the athletes.

  • The CHSASBC has the technology to provide donors with variety of payment options for your fundraiser.

  • Our social media presence and access to our website subscribers allows the CHSASBC to market your campaign to a wider audience, thus, generating greater fundraising effort and success.

** Coaches you must fill out a fundraising form for the school/district even when fundraising through the Booster Club.

Team Account Funds Request

Every CHS sport has an individual team account with the CHSASBC. The funds in each account are typically generated from team specific fundraisers, collaborating with the Booster Club on one of the CHSASBC’s fundraisers, and/or volunteering at one of our Snack Shack locations during sporting events. Teams may also fundraise independently of the Booster Club and still use their team account to deposit/hold their funds.

Funds raised by teams are available for any goods and/or services that directly support the student athletes and have been approved by the team’s Head Coach. To request funds from a team account, the CHSASBC requires a receipt with the payee’s name or an invoice to be paid directly (preferred) along with a completed and signed Team Account Fund Request Form.

In addition, the CHSASBC respectfully requests that a Coach and/or a team parent attend a Booster Club meeting or contact the Team Liaison to inquire about sufficient funds (request your Team's balance here) and to propose the request.
